Notes on the Piece: 

“A View of Croatia” a.k.a “The Waterfall” is a quick painting of Krka National Park, based on a photo I took while studying abroad in 2019.

Truth be told, I was inspired to paint this scene after viewing a Guillaumin painting on my lunch break. I was inspired by his bright teal contrast with terracotta browns.

Fun fact: I actually swam in this water with my friends shortly after taking this photo
